What is Recharge all about?
Our mission is to use the arts as a leverage to shift the mindset of the next generation, inspiring and encouraging them as we provide them the opportunity to express themselves artistically.
What CHARGED the Mission?
Recharge Missions started in 2024 with the hopes of uplifting and empowering the next generation through the arts.
There is a need for community, mentorship, and artistic education in the community, and Recharge aims to do its part.
How will we do it?
Recharge is a 501c3 nonprofit organization currently operated by the CEO, Arts Director, and volunteers, with hopes to soon support full time staff. Longterm, we would love to be in operation year-round, offering sessions, camps, and events for youth to attend to grow in their artistic expression in music and beyond in every season. We also aim to have enough instruments to gift them to students who need one!
Currently, Recharge’s main programming is the Recharge Music Program held in the urban core of Kansas City. We have partnered with Freedom Fire Ministries to connect with limited-opportunity KC youth, reaching them with love and providing them with artistic development in many facets. We meet 1-2 times a week with the local youth from middle school to highschool age. Learn more about our partners here!
We spend these hours connecting with the students to foster their musical interest and emotional expression, teaching them how to play their preferred instrument, write a song, and perform with their peers- all free of charge.
